In conjunction with The Glebe Society Inc Concert 3: Thoroughbass presents Silken Threads Music
for two harpsichords, piano and combinations of both. Follow the silken thread from West to East to the Great South Land, starting with Boccherini’s fabulous Fandango. From there swing by Venice for some Vivaldi, then join Mozart on his European tour before trekking the Silk Road with Elena Kats-Chernin’s Ancient Letters. Arrive home at dusk to witness the moon rising with Ann Carr-Boyd’s exquisite Moonrise over Lake Argyle. Late at night there is the sound of a funky tango - Diana Blom’s Night Music. Music from round the world in 75 minutes. Dr Michael Tsalka is acknowledged world-wide as an outstanding musician, pianist and harpsichordist, with many awards to his credit. He comes courtesy of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen where he currently teaches.
