Members of the Albion Quartet are all undergraduate students at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM), Manchester, United Kingdom. They formed as a quartet at the start of their second year and have been playing regularly together since. As a quartet they have received tuition from Alisdair Tate, Jo Cole, Louise Lansdown, Pavel Fischer, members of the Endellion Quartet, Marc Danel, Malcolm Layfield and Emma Ferrand.

The Albion Quartet opened the RNCM's Chamber Festival in January 2008 performing Mozart's 'The Hunt' in the Haden Freeman Concert Hall. Within college they have also performed at events such as the annual Viola day and the Matthews Festival. The Albion quartet has recorded works of RNCM student composers which were played live at the Northern Ballet School. In 2008 they received the 'highly commended' award for the playing of Beethoven's "Razumovsky" quartet op. 59 no. 1. Future engagements include concerts at Emmanuel Church Didsbury and at the Droitwich Concert Club.
